to all my fans, sorry for the delay! life has been a whirlwind of traveling, hauling, moving, purging and general mayhem. but somehow, in between all of it, the kitchen has finally been finished.
here are my guys in action. look at them go! notice the emergency blow dryer on the counter. one never knows when it might be necessary to look good (like when the boss is coming), so i think it is wise to always be prepared.
mysterious painter guy is seen here touching up scratches from the chimney installation. it seems one new item necessitates all kinds of new corrections. careful, there, painter guy. there's a lot invested in this kitchen...

did i show you the beautiful drawers? i am now so organized. i will time it to see how long i can keep it this way. times up. how long was that? 2 seconds.

at mel's encouragement, i have procured a new kitchen friend, milo.
not so much a friend as a minion, who will do all my bidding. "hey, milo, just sit still, would you?" there. see?

and now, drum roll please, we have the kitchen complete! the fridge panels are up, as placed by the other john fellow. i don't know how i will post soccer schedules and family photos on it. maybe i will have to glue things up. how would you do it? i guess if i wrote in pencil, i could just erase as needed. and notice i have more bananas. colorful and an excellent source of potassium.

presenting the sink! all nicely lit up, painting finished and ready for some really great dish washing action.

all in all, i must say, i have had a rousingly good time with this project. so much so, that i will be continuing with renovations, extending newness to all corners of my domain. i will have the greatest apartment in all the land! (the land at oxford street, anyway...) hopefully, jetton will be able to continue to help when there is enough work to do and joanne will guide me through the maze of color and style. the gods were with me on this project and i might be pushing my luck doing any more. but then, if anything went wrong we could all have a good laugh at it and end with a song and dance, just like some shakespearean tragedy. so here i go, off into the unknown world of redecorating, a woman determined to change herself by changing her apartment one room at a time.
wish me luck!
